Well, we're now in the home stretch. We'll be having our presentations on Thursday (final project draft due same day) and taking our final exam on Friday.
Tomorrow we're going to have more grammar and Kanji.

Today we learned:

• Grammar 2 & 3: comparing two or more things, new use of の
• Vocab: verbs, adverbs and other expressions
• Kanji:　買、町、長、道

今日のしゅくだい:

• Reflection
• Project revisions, start practicing
• Review new vocab

That's it! I can't believe our class is drawing to an end... (/_;)

Good job today, everyone!
We are officially ahead of schedule, so:

Tomorrow we will have 2 QUIZZES--a regular grammar quiz and an easy Kanji quiz.
Also tomorrow, your project drafts are due! I'm looking forward to reading them :-)

Today we finished out the grammar for Lesson 9--that only leaves the rest of the Kanji, and then we'll be on to our last chapter for the session.

文法:

• もう...しましたか。(Have you already...?)
• もう...しました。(I have already...)
• まだ...ていません。(I have not...yet)
• (explanation) から (situation).

漢字:

• 間、家、話、少

しゅくだい:

• Continue working on your project draft (due this Friday)
• Reflection
• Workbook pages 87 (1 & 2) and 88 (1 - 4)

Well, today felt like a real Monday to me.

We started chapter 9, and learned the nouns and adjectives in our vocab list. We also learned our new grammar (short form past), and four new kanji: 午、後、前、名.

• Workbook page 82
• Start your project draft--it's due this Friday!

Today we learned the rest of the Lesson 7 grammar and Kanji. So now we know every single thing in Lessons 6&7, and we are ready for our midterm tomorrow, right??

Don't forget to bring your letter (the homework assigned yesterday). It is due at the beginning of class, before we start the midterm.

おつかれさまです！

Today we learned Grammar 3 of Lesson 7. It may seem suspiciously identical to what we did last week (joining two actions with て form), and it is similar. But today, we were joining adjectives and nouns with the て form instead of only verbs.

We also did all but the last exercise in practice IV (pp. 179-180) in class.

For Kanji, we learned 校、毎、語、文

しゅくだい (homework):

• Please write 3 sentences on your blog, using our new grammar from today.
• Please begin your letter (see page 321 of the textbook), due on Friday before class. The body of your letter must have at least 10 sentences.

Our midterm is THIS FRIDAY! We will be reviewing in class tomorrow.

Today we learned more new grammar, vocab, and kanji from Lesson 7.

• grammar: ている（ています） form
• vocab: verbs, adverbs & other expressions
• kanji: 社、父、母、高

We also did practice numbers I-III (pp. 176-179) in our textbook.

しゅくだい:
For homework, please write a reflection on your blog, and study for the vocab quiz tomorrow.

Today we started Lesson 7. I can't believe we're learning so fast!

• 今日のあたらしい たんご: Lesson 7 vocab--Nouns and adjectives. Quiz tomorrow!!
• Aさんは｛attribute｝が｛adjective｝です。: Describing people with adjectives (Grammar 2)
• あたらしい かんじ: 京、子、小、会

しゅくだい:
Post a picture (or pictures) on your blog, and write 5 sentences describing the person/people in it using today's new grammar.

We also reviewed the rest of the grammar in Lesson 6, because tomorrow (Friday) we have a grammar quiz!


しゅくだい (homework):

• Finish 四コマまんが: It's due tomorrow (Friday) at the beginning of class if submitting hard copy; due tomorrow at 5pm if submitting electronically.
• Workbook pages 57-60, selections. Due Monday (7/16), but will help you on tomorrow's quiz if you work on them tonight.
• Study for the grammar quiz!

So today we started the -TE form. We will learn grammar patterns that use it more later this week.
We also learned 新しい単語 (new vocab), and 新しい漢字 (new Kanji).
